Entry-Level Medical Lab Technician – Multiple Locations

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking new‑graduate Medical Lab Technicians to join its laboratory teams across multiple locations. You will receive and prepare specimens, perform analytical tests, and ensure quality control while working under general supervision. This role offers the chance to make a direct impact on patient care in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and test specimens according to standard protocols.
• Perform analytical laboratory tests, calculations, and quality control procedures.
• Calibrate, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment.
• Provide phlebotomy services as needed and maintain patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Associate degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or related scientific field, or a military MLT certificate.
• No prior experience required; hospital or clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
• Current state license (if applicable) and ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as a Medical Lab Technician.
• Strong computer and data‑entry skills, proficiency with Windows applications, and effective verbal and written communication.
