Engineering Project Lead

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks an Engineering Project Lead to join the Engineering department in Wichita, Kansas. You will drive on‑time, on‑cost, and on‑quality delivery of design and certification documentation for Airbus aircraft worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support resource planning and budget alignment for the annual operating plan.
• Develop project budgets, secure workload, set targets and communicate performance metrics.
• Establish project requirements, coordinate commitments across global and local teams.
• Facilitate design reviews with chief engineering and technical representatives.
• Develop, report and analyse KPIs for internal and external customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical or related engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in airframe structures or system installation projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of technical engineering principles, documentation, and procedures.
• Authorized to work in the US and familiar with Airbus structures.
• Physical ability to work onsite (90%) and meet required PPE standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
