Engineering Manager, Mobile

About the role

Replit is looking for an Engineering Manager, Mobile to lead the future of its mobile experiences. You will build and manage a team that bridges design and engineering to create intuitive, high‑performance mobile interfaces for software creation on any device.

Key responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a team of mobile design engineers, fostering technical excellence and design craftsmanship.
• Define technical vision and strategy for mobile design systems, establishing frameworks that ship to production and scale across iOS, Android, and responsive web.
• Partner with design, product, and engineering leadership to prioritize mobile initiatives and ensure seamless collaboration.
• Drive best practices for mobile‑first development, delivering consistent, high‑quality experiences while optimizing performance.
• Oversee architecture of complex mobile UI components, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
• Champion accessible, responsive interfaces and improve mobile design‑to‑development workflow.
• Balance hands‑on technical contribution with people management, staying close to code to guide architectural decisions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and scaling high‑performing teams.
• Deep technical background in mobile development, including native (Swift/Kotlin) and cross‑platform frameworks.
