Staff Software Engineer – Agentic Ads

About the role

Replit is building an agentic ads platform that uses AI to help businesses acquire customers. As a Staff Software Engineer on the Money team, you will shape this emerging product area, working closely with product, design, and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Set technical direction and architecture for Agentic Ads, balancing rapid learning with long‑term reliability.
• Build agent‑powered experiences that translate user goals into clear recommendations and authorized actions.
• Design extensible integrations with external advertising services using robust APIs.
• Partner with product and data teams to establish reliable measurement and connect activity to business outcomes.
• Develop intelligent automation that learns from performance signals and respects financial controls.
• Ensure cross‑platform workflows are reliable with idempotency, safe retries, observability, and recovery mechanisms.

Required profile

• Proven Staff‑level technical leadership on complex customer‑facing products.
• Strong hands‑on engineering and system design skills across APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience shipping LLM‑powered or agentic products with tool use, orchestration, and safeguards.
• Solid judgment on measurement, experimentation, and handling noisy or delayed data.
• Ability to align cross‑functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive execution without formal authority.
