Engineering Lab Technician

About the role

The Engineering Lab Technician will work in a collaborative lab environment supporting the development and testing of network equipment. You will partner with software, hardware and quality engineers to ensure smooth lab operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment such as servers, switches, routers and cable modems.
• Maintain lab inventory, track equipment, and manage ordering and replacement processes.
• Monitor and maintain electrical systems, ensuring proper wiring, outlets and safety compliance.
• Organize lab space, label components and keep work areas accessible for engineering teams.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self‑motivated team player who follows documented procedures.
• Attention to detail and good interpersonal/customer service abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Electrical experience and understanding of lab safety procedures.
• Basic ability to troubleshoot network equipment (servers, switches, routers, cable modems).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
