Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Nights

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department on nights. Within nursing services, the RN provides patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients, planning, directing and evaluating nursing care while following established objectives, standards, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and assess patients to build a standard of care and evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing plan
• Ensure accurate documentation, adequate supplies and knowledge of equipment operation
• Act as educator for peers, patients and families
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
• NIHSS training available through various organizations and learning systems
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in a stressful environment, independently and with attention to detail

Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance program, and maintenance of required licenses and certifications are also required.
