Electro Mechanical Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

Clopay Corporation is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician for its Mountaintop, Pennsylvania facility on the 2nd shift (3:00 pm‑11:00 pm, Monday‑Friday). The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated equipment and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, project work, and machine breakdown repairs.
• Test repaired control devices, tag them with repair dates, and ensure proper documentation.
• Support other shifts when equipment cannot be resolved by current staff.
• Participate in training, software, and schematic updates for Cornell equipment.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Controls and Automation or High School/GED with 7‑10 years of automation/control experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics, CAD drawings, and product documentation.
• Comfort working safely, following LOTO procedures, and using precision measurement tools.

Required skills

• Programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and CNC controllers.
• Wiring and building control panels for new machines.
• Use of digital multimeters, amp meters, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Reading and interpreting CAD and product schematics.
