Fabricator – Shaft Assembly & Guide Prep (Multiple Shifts)

About the role

Clopay is hiring fabricators for its Mountaintop, PA manufacturing facility. Positions are available on 2nd, 3rd and 4th shift to assemble shafts and prepare guide components for garage‑door systems.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop sheets and job drawings to assemble and mark pipe or guide parts.
• Perform MIG welding, drill, tap, grind and finish welds to required specifications.
• Visually inspect finished parts for defects and replace any that do not meet quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work at a quick pace.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Welding (including MIG welding).
• Blueprint and drawing interpretation.
• Use of hand tools and accurate measurement with a tape measure.
• Basic computer knowledge.

What we offer

• Starting pay of $23.18 per hour with shift differentials ($1.50 for 2nd/3rd shift, $2.00 for 4th shift).
• Multiple shift options: 1st (7 am‑3 pm), 2nd (3 pm‑11 pm), 3rd (11 pm‑7 am), 4F (Fri‑Sat‑Sun 7 am‑7 pm) and 4M (Sat‑Sun‑Mon 7 am‑7 pm).
