About the role
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer 1.5 provides engineering and technical support for the full life‑cycle commissioning of critical facilities. Working under direct supervision, the role assists in design reviews, develops test procedures and participates in static and dynamic testing of MEP systems.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing commissioning plans and schedules.
- Support engineering design reviews and interpret specifications under supervision.
- Review shop drawings and submittals, and develop MEP test and operating procedures.
- Witness and perform static and dynamic testing of MEP systems such as chillers, UPS, switchgear, and ATS.
- Prepare daily reports, issue logs and field observations to track project compliance.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent education.
- Valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications.
- Ability to read technical documents, write reports and communicate effectively.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, work at heights and in loud, potentially hazardous environments.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Deltek project software.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience operating electrical testing equipment.
- Experience operating mechanical testing equipment.
