Early Childhood Care and Education Instructor

About the role

This position enables you to directly impact future early childhood professionals by delivering hands‑on, real‑world training in a supportive classroom and lab environment. You will develop and deliver lesson plans that meet state academic standards and prepare students for successful careers in early childhood care and education.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and standardized syllabi for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Deliver instruction in theory and practical applications within classroom and simulated lab settings.
• Utilize current instructional technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student progress, grade coursework promptly, and provide academic advising.
• Maintain weekly office hours and ensure safety and security in the teaching environment.
• Collaborate with faculty to uphold program certification and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare required documentation, administrative reports, and stay current with industry trends.
• Participate in professional development activities such as workshops and conferences.

Required profile

• Ability to work under general supervision while independently preparing lesson materials.
• Strong knowledge of current trends and developments in early childhood education.
• Commitment to maintaining safety, security, and accreditation standards.
• Effective communication with students, staff, and other educators.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
