Domestic Electrician – Social Housing Repairs

About the role

We are seeking an Approved Domestic Electrician to join a busy social housing repairs and maintenance team covering Boston, Wisbech and King's Lynn. You will work on‑site in occupied homes, delivering high‑quality electrical repairs, fault‑finding and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive electrical repairs and fault‑finding in domestic properties.
• Perform testing, inspection and remedial works in line with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Participate in an out‑of‑hours rota as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• AM2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Testing & Inspection certification.
• Experience in domestic electrical repairs and maintenance, preferably within social housing or local authority environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and test results.
• Competence in using testing equipment safely and accurately.
