Dishwasher – Bakery/Restaurant

About the role

The dishwasher ensures that all dishes, cookware, utensils and bakery equipment are clean and sanitized for daily operations. This role supports the kitchen and production teams in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash sheet pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using a dishwasher machine or by hand when needed.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam and manage trash removal.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean, orderly condition.
• Store clean pans, utensils and cooking equipment in assigned locations.
• Organize and label produce deliveries such as dairy and flour.
• Perform deep cleaning of ovens, floors, counters, freezers, refrigerators and other equipment.
• Clean and maintain the grease trap on a regular schedule.
• Sweep, mop, scrub and polish production areas, including dust removal from equipment.
• Assist with additional cleaning tasks assigned by the manager or chef, including stairs, sinks, bathrooms, mirrors, toilet seats, walls and inventory of toilet supplies.

Required profile

• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain personal cleanliness.
• Basic food handling, preparation and cleaning knowledge.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work under pressure in high‑volume production.
• Effective communication in English, both spoken and written.
• Flexible schedule and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb.
