Director, Product Process Excellence & BT

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Director to lead product process excellence and business transformation within the CTO Product Development team. The role drives the conversion of drawing‑based product knowledge into structured, reusable digital definitions and aligns multiple functions to create a scalable digital thread.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Design‑to‑Build workstream execution across North America, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Partner with global Business Transformation teams to define, implement, and optimize supporting processes.
• Collaborate with Product Development, IT, Manufacturing and BT teams to adopt digital capabilities and transformation initiatives.
• Define and execute global strategy for product configuration, structuring, and platforming.
• Establish vision, roadmap, and governance for digital engineering processes, tools and data management.
• Lead selection, deployment, integration and lifecycle management of PLM, CAD, simulation, MBSE and related systems.
• Drive integration between engineering and enterprise systems to improve data continuity and automation.
• Develop standards, governance frameworks and best practices for engineering tools and compliance.
• Promote AI‑enabled solutions in R&D to accelerate innovation and improve product quality.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, digital transformation or product development processes.
• Senior‑level experience in product development or project engineering with deep knowledge of engineering processes and tools.
• Proven leadership in functional process and technology deployment, including enterprise system implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience managing teams and driving organizational change in a global, matrixed environment.

Required skills

• Siemens PLM systems, CAD tools, simulation software and model‑based engineering (MBSE).
• Teamcenter, SAP S/4HANA, ERP and PLM platforms.
• Cloud‑based platforms, data analytics and automation technologies.
• AI concepts, machine learning applications and digital twin/Industry 4.0 knowledge.
• Familiarity with Maestro.
