Director, Office of Transformation Process Redesign

About the role

The Transformation Team at Mastercard drives strategic change to reimagine how the company works, scales and delivers business outcomes. As the Director, Office of Transformation Process Redesign, you will own the end‑to‑end redesign of critical operating processes, translating strategic intent into scalable, AI‑enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end process discovery, current‑state mapping and future‑state redesign for a defined transformation area.
• Architect redesigned processes that integrate compliance, risk, contracting, billing and product configuration.
• Identify and de‑risk cross‑functional roadblocks, creating short paths to outcomes across product, technology and operations.
• Define where AI, automation and agent‑supported workflows should be embedded, applying a “streamline, then automate” discipline.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to instrument processes with metrics and continuously improve performance.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to senior executives, escalating issues and making trade‑off decisions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven ability to translate ambiguous strategic intent into a clean operating plan and run the system interdependently.
• Deep expertise in business process optimization, current‑/future‑state mapping and implementation handoff.
• Strong structural thinking to understand process components, dependencies and shortest paths to outcomes.
• Experience influencing without formal authority in matrixed organizations.
• Track record modernizing legacy systems, processes and operating models.
