About the role

Join Mastercard’s AI & Data team as a Spring 2027 Co‑Op in Purchase, NY. Work on AI projects that apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining using Python, SQL, or R. You’ll be part of a high‑performing team delivering responsible AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques to real‑world problems.
• Develop and evaluate predictive models with a focus on accuracy, explainability, and responsible AI practices.
• Participate in all phases of the data science lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering to model deployment.
• Contribute to AI systems that improve commerce safety, personalization, and data platform capabilities.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program at Northeastern University in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, graduating Dec 2027 – Jun 2028.
• Exposure to statistics, probability, machine learning concepts, and data analysis techniques.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
