Director of Shipyard Facilities Operations & Asset Reliability

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Director to lead shipyard facilities operations and asset reliability. You will be responsible for keeping critical production assets running while delivering capital projects and yard expansions safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Own reliability and availability of production‑critical assets such as cranes, hoists, shiplifts, docks, utilities and facilities.
• Develop and enforce preventive and predictive maintenance programs to avoid unplanned outages.
• Partner with production leaders to align maintenance windows with operational demand.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of capital programs, including yard expansion, major equipment purchases and utility upgrades.
• Drive annual capital planning, project scoping, budgeting, governance and risk control.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, contractors, regulators and permitting authorities to ensure compliant delivery.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, condition assessments, lifecycle planning and disposition decisions.

Required profile

• Proven technical judgment and financial rigor in managing large‑scale industrial assets.
• Experience balancing short‑term operational reliability with long‑term capacity growth.
• Strong leadership skills to guide cross‑functional teams through maintenance and capital projects.
• Ability to implement data‑driven reliability metrics and make informed decisions.
