Director of Global Data Center Construction

About the role

TensorWave is seeking a seasoned leader to head its global data‑center construction program. You will oversee a multi‑billion‑dollar portfolio of AI‑infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire global construction pipeline, controlling a multi‑billion‑dollar CAPEX budget.
• Develop and execute a program‑level construction strategy, selecting and supervising general contractors, EPCM firms, and key vendors.
• Guarantee that all projects meet schedule, budget, and technical quality requirements for AI compute operations.
• Implement risk‑management, QA/QC protocols, and reporting metrics across the program.
• Partner with Site Acquisition, Design, and Sourcing teams to de‑risk projects and resolve complex technical or contractual issues at the executive level.

Required profile

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years managing large‑scale, complex industrial or critical‑infrastructure construction programs.
• 7+ years in hyperscale data‑center or mission‑critical facility construction.
• Proven expertise in large‑scale contract negotiation, such as Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) agreements.
