Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will lead the financial function for Viceroy's new Manhattan hotel, establishing financial processes, controls, and reporting from day one. This senior position is critical to ensuring profitability, regulatory compliance, and sound financial stewardship during the pre‑opening phase.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements, cash flow statements, and management reports.
• Manage receivables, payables, cash balances, and ensure timely deposits of all funds.
• Monitor hotel revenues and expenses, ensuring proper recording in line with Viceroy guidelines.
• Develop annual budgets, conduct monthly variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting and operating forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and operational taxes.
• Maintain internal controls, perform balance‑sheet reviews, bank reconciliations, and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance functions for hotels or comparable hospitality operations.
• Strong knowledge of cash‑flow management, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure regulatory compliance and uphold internal control standards.
