Director of Culture Marketing

About the role

Bumble's ability to win with the next generation of daters depends on our ability to be culturally relevant. We are seeking a Director of Culture Marketing to help Bumble become one of the most culturally connected brands for Gen Z.

Key responsibilities

• Identify emerging trends, creators, brands, communities, platforms, and cultural moments that shape how Gen Z connects, dates, and socializes.
• Develop and lead Bumble's cultural marketing strategy to ensure the brand stays authentic and ahead of cultural conversations.
• Lead celebrity, talent, influencer, and creator partnerships, working with agencies to negotiate and manage talent collaborations.
• Build and scale Bumble's creator ecosystem, driving awareness, engagement, and authentic conversation around dating.
• Partner with Social, Brand, PR, Creative, Partnerships, Product Marketing, and Integrated Marketing teams to embed cultural trends in campaigns and content.
• Act as the organization’s cultural advisor, regularly sharing insights, trend reports, and recommendations with leadership.
• Collaborate with Product to integrate cultural insights into product strategy and user experiences.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to understand, predict, and influence culture, with experience at top culturally relevant brands, agencies, or media.
• Deep and intuitive understanding of Gen Z culture and digital trends.
• Strong strategic business thinking combined with cultural intuition.
• Extensive network across creators, influencers, emerging communities, and trendsetters.
• Ability to translate cultural observations into actionable business recommendations.
• Comfortable advising executives and collaborating with creative teams.
