Director of Cloud Operations

About the role

Springbrook Software is seeking a Director of Cloud Operations to lead its Cloud Operations team. The role is fully remote and focuses on ensuring the Cirrus SaaS platform remains secure, highly available, performant, and cost‑efficient for more than 3,000 government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of Cloud Operations engineers, handling hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Own the technical vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for availability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency of the cloud platform.
• Define and enforce service level objectives, indicators, and error budgets, reporting results to executive leadership.
• Establish standards, architectures, and review practices for infrastructure as code, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, observability, and change management.
• Champion a DevSecOps and zero‑trust approach, integrating reliability and security into the software development lifecycle.
• Manage the incident management program and represent the platform’s operational and cost posture to executives and customers.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in cloud infrastructure and operations.
• Deep technical background in site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or FinOps.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills to interact with executive leadership and external customers.
