Director of Client Services

About the role

The Director of Client Services will lead Greystar’s client‑service strategy in Chicago, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and new‑business growth. This senior position reports to senior management and works closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients, handling feedback, complaints, and urgent requests.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities through proposals and negotiations.
• Provide input on annual goals and budgets for the client services group, tracking projections and fees.
• Monitor market trends, prepare reports for senior leadership, and recommend actions to protect market position.
• Establish internal communication networks and client‑relationship management systems.
• Develop and distribute promotional materials and coordinate due‑diligence assignments.
• Gather client feedback via surveys, analyze results, and implement cost‑effective improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client services, account management, or related fields, preferably in real‑estate or property‑management environments.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and financial projections.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago and collaborate across multiple departments.

• Base salary $145,000‑$165,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance bonuses.
