Director, Data Analytics

About the role

Greystar’s Decision Intelligence team is looking for a Director to lead the Property Operations pod. You will embed a team of analysts and engineers within Property Operations, shaping how data and AI drive daily decisions across the world’s largest apartment portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize the pod’s work in partnership with Property Operations leadership, turning business problems into data‑driven solutions.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, including design, technology choices, sequencing, quality, and adoption of shipped products.
• Ensure solutions become lasting capabilities, graduating high‑impact products to shared platforms such as Greystar Performance System (GPS) and Podium.
• Hire, develop, and retain analytics engineers across all seniority levels, establishing clear performance standards and career paths.
• Act as a peer to Property Operations leaders, representing the pod’s work to senior Greystar leadership and advocating for resources.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience building and scaling analytics or AI teams in a complex, data‑rich environment.
• Deep understanding of property operations, on‑site team dynamics, and performance metrics.
• Ability to balance speed with rigor, delivering usable solutions while maintaining technical soundness.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business impact.
