Director of Benefits – Americas Region

About the role

The Director, Benefits – Americas Region is responsible for consistent, compliant administration of U.S. health, welfare, retirement, time‑off, leave of absence and wellness programs, and leads benefits design for Canada and Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director, Global Benefits to develop and execute an Americas benefits strategy aligned with global Total Rewards.
• Oversee administration of health, retirement, tax‑advantaged accounts, risk, paid time off, wellness and leave programs across the region.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations (ERISA, ACA) and manage required filings and non‑discrimination testing.
• Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, monitor benefits trends and forecast costs.
• Develop employee communications, champion wellness initiatives and lead a U.S. benefits team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• 10+ years of HR experience with 5+ years in benefits leadership and 3+ years managing teams.
• Deep expertise in U.S. benefits and retirement plans; experience with Canadian and/or Costa Rican benefits preferred.
