Director of Admissions

About the role

The Director of Admissions leads Fairmont Schools’ enrollment strategy, overseeing the full admissions journey from inquiry through enrollment and re‑enrollment. This senior position drives pipeline performance, family experience, and community outreach to meet annual enrollment targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive new and re‑enrollment performance against targets, managing the admissions pipeline from inquiry to enrollment.
• Monitor enrollment KPIs, maintain accurate CRM data, and provide forecasting and performance updates to leadership.
• Deliver a personalized admissions experience, conduct campus tours, and guide families through assessments and onboarding.
• Develop and execute recruitment, community outreach, and partnership strategies to generate qualified leads.
• Partner with campus leadership on re‑enrollment and retention initiatives, identifying at‑risk families and supporting interventions.
• Collaborate with Marketing on lead‑generation, messaging, and admissions‑related campaigns.
• Guide families through financial aid, scholarship, and tuition‑assistance processes.
• Lead and mentor Admissions Assistants, sharing best practices across Fairmont campuses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of five years of successful admissions or enrollment‑management experience.
• Experience in independent/private school admissions strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success meeting measurable enrollment, sales, or conversion targets.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, collaborative and adaptable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot or similar.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced use of Google Workspace.
