About the role

The Director of Administration will serve as a key member of the leadership team, overseeing Accounting, Recruiting, and Human Resources functions across the United States. This senior position drives operational excellence, ensures regulatory compliance, and aligns administrative strategies with the company’s growth objectives in a hybrid or remote environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Accounting, Recruiting, and HR, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve administrative policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, contract billing, and audit coordination while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Oversee talent acquisition strategy, workforce planning, recruiting operations, ATS management, candidate pipelines, and onboarding processes.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across recruiting, HR, and accounting to drive continuous improvement.
  • Direct employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, payroll tax obligations, worker classification standards, and multi‑state labor laws.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, SPHR) highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple business functions or cross‑functional teams in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and compliance (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, benefits administration, workforce planning).

Required skills

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR management software.
