Director, IT Application Solutions Management - Integration

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior leader to own the functional architecture and multi‑year roadmap for Opportunity‑to‑Order and Configure‑to‑Order solutions across SAP CRM, ECC and S/4HANA. The role drives end‑to‑end design, governance and transformation for complex product configuration, pricing and billing in a global, high‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the functional architecture, design standards and governance for SAP sales, order management and configuration across multiple platforms.
• Lead fit‑gap analysis, solution options and business‑case development for migration from SAP VC/CRM to S/4HANA, including Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) and Solution Sales Configuration (SSC).
• Architect complex multi‑level Sales Order BOMs, variant configuration models and ETO/CTO processes, ensuring seamless hand‑off to engineering, planning and manufacturing.
• Design and own pricing solution architecture, including condition technique, variant‑based pricing and margin controls.
• Provide functional leadership for large, global SAP deployments, managing portfolio priorities, budgets and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead, develop and inspire a global team of solution architects, functional leads and analysts.

Required profile

• 15+ years of SAP experience in Sales & Distribution / Order‑to‑Cash with at least 8 years in senior solution architecture and people‑leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in SAP Variant Configuration, Sales Order BOM management and complex pricing scenarios.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP CRM, ECC, S/4HANA and integration with PLM, PP, MM, PS and FI modules.
• Track record of leading large, global SAP transformation programs and delivering business value.
