Direct Markets Agency Sales Manager

About the role

Zurich Agency Services is seeking an experienced Agency Sales Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants in a hybrid environment. This player‑coach position combines hands‑on selling with coaching responsibilities to drive new business and strengthen client relationships across commercial lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Sales Consultants focused on new business generation and client retention.
• Partner with Zurich Direct Markets sales professionals to identify and close opportunities.
• Provide guidance on complex insurance placements and coverage solutions.
• Establish performance expectations, monitor results and drive accountability.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, talent development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of sales experience, or equivalent experience as outlined.
• Proven sales leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Strong business development, relationship management and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Workers Compensation, Excess Liability/Umbrella, Commercial Property, Cyber Liability, Dealers Open Lot and Employment Practices Liability (EPLI).
• Understanding of commercial coverage structures, risk analysis and brokerage operations.
