Diagnostic Technologist – Weekend Shift

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to provide high‑quality radiologic imaging during weekend shifts. The role supports physicians, ensures radiation safety, and delivers excellent patient care in an onsite health center.

Key responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic‑quality images and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
• Apply radiation protection standards, document exposure factors, and maintain safety logs.
• Verify physician orders, attach images to correct patient records, and ensure studies are uploaded to PACS.
• Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and assist with maintenance.
• Support team coordination, manage supply levels, and maintain a clean work area.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or graduate of an accredited Radiography program (less than 1 year experience).
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
• RT – Registered Technologist Radiology certification for Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting 40‑50 lb and standing for long periods.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) proficiency.
• RT certification for radiology.
