About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Diagnostic Technologist student, providing high‑quality radiologic imaging under supervision while maintaining strict radiation safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic quality imaging following radiation protection guidelines and proper equipment usage.
• Document exposure factors, fluoroscopy time, radiologist details, and ensure images are transferred to PACS before study completion.
• Verify physician orders, obtain missing information, and coordinate exam timing with the team.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in training new employees and students.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED and currently enrolled in an accredited radiology program (second‑year student).
• Ability to handle confidential patient information ethically and solve problems effectively.
• Physical ability to lift 40‑50 lb, stand for long periods, and transport patients.

Required skills

• Radiation protection and safety standards.
• Operation of radiologic imaging equipment and PACS.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures.
