Design Engineer – Power Generation & Controls

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer with experience in power generation and industrial controls to support design, programming, commissioning, and field activities for generator and electrical control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and junction box drawings based on project and customer specifications.
• Configure, modify, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, relay, and generator synchronization programs.
• Support commissioning, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial generator packages on‑site and in the shop.
• Release material lists for manufacturing and respond to technical fabrication queries.
• Participate in factory acceptance testing, pre‑shipment verification, and provide ongoing customer technical support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience with power generation systems, medium‑voltage equipment and controls engineering.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Electrical wiring diagrams, control panel layout, junction box drawings.
• PLC programming, HMI configuration, protective relays, generator synchronization.
• Familiarity with switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motors and generator controls.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs and single‑line drawings.
• Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
