Delivery Specialist

About the role

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for safely operating store vehicles to deliver automotive parts and products to professional customers. The role also includes handling cash on C.O.D. deliveries, collecting returns, and providing basic customer service as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products efficiently and safely.
• Use fleet‑management hand‑held devices to capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform pre‑trip inspections, and secure keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate customer issues or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Refuel vehicles, lock and secure them at the end of the day, and clock in/out per policy.
• Perform additional duties such as stocking, merchandising, sweeping, running errands, and occasional cashier responsibilities.

Required profile

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Valid state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.

Required skills

• Operation of delivery fleet‑management hand‑held devices.
• Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance reporting.
