Deduction Analyst

About the role

The Deduction Analyst reviews, researches, and resolves customer shortage and overage deduction claims, partnering with Customer Service, Operations, Accounting and other internal teams. The role maintains claim records, updates the Deduction Management System, and provides analysis to reduce recurring chargebacks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process shortage/overage claims for all customers, coordinating with internal departments.
• Maintain detailed logs, update the Deduction Management System, and approve or deny deductions after management review.
• Collect supporting documentation from portals (Imigit, Load Proof, Manhattan SCI, JDA QA) and present findings weekly.
• Perform root‑cause analysis with Operations and implement corrective actions.
• Summarize deductions monthly, provide trend analysis, and support department improvements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑3 years of relevant office experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize without guidance, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) with intermediate Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with Teams, Smartsheet, order management software, Deduction Management System and ERP (NetSuite).
