Data Analyst - Speed to Customer

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Data Analyst for its Supply Chain function. The analyst turns complex analytical tasks into clear, data-driven stories, works with colleagues to apply established analytical methods to diverse datasets and solve real business problems, and completes reporting and analysis on time while improving technical skills such as SQL, statistics and machine learning. The role sits under the supervision of more experienced managers and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Execute existing reporting and analytical responsibilities (30%).
• Create new dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analyses using data analytics tools (20%).
• Maintain high-quality work output with close attention to detail (20%).
• Develop further technical competencies and subject-matter expertise (20%).
• Present findings clearly, showing how the analytics fit into the bigger picture (10%).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing and/or forecasting.
• Preferred: prior direct experience analysing supply chain, merchandising, operations or similar areas.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or a related quantitative field.

Required skills

• Preferred: experience with SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle or comparable database systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.
