Customer Development Manager – Grocery Channel

About the role

As the Customer Development Manager for the Grocery Channel, you will lead strategic regional grocery accounts, focusing on Ahold Delhaize and other key partners. You will own the end‑to‑end customer strategy, drive profitable growth, and ensure flawless execution across the 1440 Foods portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute joint business plans with regional grocery retailers to accelerate distribution, improve shelf presence, and drive category leadership.
• Build senior‑level customer relationships based on data‑driven insights and collaborative growth planning.
• Lead broker partners, negotiate annual plans, promotional programs, and assortment expansions.
• Own full sales planning and execution cycle, including business reviews, innovation sell‑in, and promotional planning.
• Manage trade investment against budget, evaluate promotional effectiveness, and optimize spend efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years of experience in Customer Development, National Accounts, or related CPG commercial roles.
• Proven success managing regional grocery accounts in a high‑growth CPG environment.
• Strong understanding of retailer economics, category management, and trade investment management.
• Ability to travel as needed to support customers, brokers, and company initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience leveraging NielsenIQ/IRI data.
• Proficiency with retailer POS and syndicated data analysis.
• Knowledge of trade promotion management systems.
