About the role

The State of Georgia, through Southern Crescent Technical College, is seeking a part‑time Custodian for its Flint River Campus. You will help maintain clean, safe, and functional facilities for students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean restrooms, fixtures, and common areas.
  • Move furniture and set up chairs, tables, and podiums for events and college functions.
  • Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Assist with routine grounds maintenance and distribute supplies and equipment as needed.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license and good motor‑vehicle record strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

  • Experience with floor care scrubbers and propane burnisher (preferred).
  • Knowledge of floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
