About the role

This position assesses patients and safely performs routine computed tomography procedures in accordance with radiation safety protocols, serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

Verifies physician orders and ensures accurate CT procedures.
Operates CT equipment independently, including IV placement, to acquire diagnostic-quality images.
Reviews images before transmission and performs quality control in line with regulatory standards.
Assists with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
ARRT registration or eligibility for CT certification within 90 days of hire.
Current state license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Proficiency in operating computed tomography (CT) equipment.
Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and related software.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
General computer proficiency.
