CT Technologist – Per Diem

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Per Diem CT Technologist to perform computed tomography scans, ensure technical quality, and provide courteous patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, injectors, and monitors safely and accurately, following physician specifications.
• Review images, repeat scans as needed, and prepare studies for PACS transmission.
• Communicate exam details to patients, address questions, and maintain confidentiality of PHI.
• Administer contrast media per protocol and notify physicians of any adverse reactions.
• Complete technical notes, verify images, and ensure timely delivery to radiologists.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• CNMT or RT(CT) certification; ARRT certification within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
• Less than one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (junior level).

Required skills

• Proficient operation of CT scanning software and post‑processing applications.
• Knowledge of PACS workflow and image transmission.
• Ability to administer contrast media and follow safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal communication for patient interaction.
