CT Technologist – Interventional Radiology (Day Shift)

About the role

The Interventional Radiology department seeks a CT Technologist to perform routine computed tomography procedures during a 5‑day, 8‑hour day shift. The role includes patient assessment, image acquisition, and mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure correct procedure selection.
• Operate CT equipment independently, including IV placement, and produce diagnostic‑quality images.
• Review images before transmission to confirm quality standards.
• Maintain departmental operations such as inventory, equipment maintenance, and staff scheduling.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound‑guided interventional procedures when needed.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or eligibility within 90 days of hire; CT registry eligibility within one year.
• Current unrestricted state license and Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to flexible schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating computed tomography (CT) scanners.
• Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and image quality control.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of CT procedural protocols and radiation safety.
