CT Technologist II – Weekend Shift

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a CT Technologist II to work weekend shifts at its Muhlenberg location. The role involves performing high‑quality CT examinations, ensuring patient safety, and supporting radiology staff in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, injectors, and monitors safely, performing all types of imaging procedures.
• Review images, repeat scans when necessary, and prepare studies for PACS delivery.
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures in lay terms and addressing concerns.
• Administer contrast media per protocol and notify physicians of any adverse reactions.
• Complete technical documentation, verify images, and maintain quality‑control standards.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or accredited Radiography program graduate.
• Less than 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
• State of Pennsylvania RT – Registered Technologist Radiology upon hire.
• Ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficient operation of CT scanners and related software.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and HIPAA compliance.
• Contrast media administration and emergency response.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registrations: ARRT (CT) within 1 year, CNMT, NMTCB as applicable.
