CT Technologist II

About the role

The CT Technologist II provides high‑quality computed tomography imaging for patients across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. This role ensures patient safety, adheres to radiation protocols, and supports the radiology team in a busy hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment and physician specifications.
• Operate CT scanners, injectors, monitors, and related equipment safely and accurately.
• Review images, repeat scans as needed, and prepare images for PACS transmission.
• Administer contrast media per protocol and notify physicians of any adverse reactions.
• Provide patient education, address questions, and maintain confidentiality of PHI.
• Complete technical notes, verify images, and ensure timely delivery to radiologists.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or accredited Radiography program graduate.
• Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
• State of Pennsylvania registration (RT, CNMT, NMTCB, ARRT) as required.
• Ability to lift/carry 40‑50 lb and stand/walk for long periods.

Required skills

• Operation of CT scanners and related hardware (injectors, monitors).
• Proficiency with advanced CT scanning software and post‑processing applications.
• Use of PACS for image storage and transmission.
• Administration of contrast media and knowledge of radiation safety precautions.
• Venipuncture technique (preferred).
