CT Technologist – Full Time – 4‑10 Day Schedule

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine computed tomography procedures while delivering compassionate patient care. This full‑time position works a 4‑10 day schedule on Jeff Hwy and includes mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders, explain procedures to patients, and operate CT equipment independently according to protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, perform quality‑control checks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain patient privacy, adapt communication style to diverse populations, and handle IV placement when required.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration (CT certified or eligible within 90 days) and current state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and travel between facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating CT scanners and radiology information systems.
• Knowledge of CT procedures, radiation safety, and image quality standards.
• Computer and web‑based application skills.
• Ability to perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
