Critical Care RN Supervisor – OALH ICU (Full-Time)

About the role

This position supervises and provides direct patient care for critically ill patients in the OALH ICU. The RN Supervisor coordinates, delegates and oversees nursing interventions while serving as a resource for staff assessment, planning and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, plan and supervise coordinated patient care within the unit, ensuring compliance with protocols and quality standards.
• Supervise, develop and evaluate assigned nurses and patient care technicians, managing staffing, scheduling and conflict resolution.
• Collaborate with unit leadership, quality, safety and experience teams to promote patient safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN (required for Ochsner Magnet facilities).
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 2 years as an LPN in acute care.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong assessment skills, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medications and ability to handle end‑of‑life issues.
