Crane Maintenance Technician III

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Crane Maintenance Technician III to join its industrial maintenance team in Davenport, Iowa. The role works on the facility's hoists, cranes and other mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing setting, typically Monday to Friday on the second shift, with overtime depending on customer demand. The pay range is $27-$29 per hour based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hoists, cranes and other mechanical equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures, and wear PPE as required.
• Identify and correct safety issues and carry out independent equipment evaluations to spot potential failures.
• Perform general maintenance of equipment and work at heights of 6 to 30 ft above ground.
• Travel to other sites in the local Moline, Davenport or QC area when required.

Required profile

• 3 years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoists, or 1 year of mechanical experience plus a technical school.
• Background in industrial maintenance or a related facility maintenance discipline.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift up to 30 ft; training provided.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 50% of the time.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, kneel and work in cramped positions.

Required skills

• Crane troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to obtain crane certification (not required to start).
