Cosmetology Lab Tutor – Part‑time (Appalachian Campus)

About the role

The Appalachian Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College seeks a part‑time Lab Tutor to support cosmetology students during evening lab sessions (7:30 pm – 12:30 am). This role assists students with hands‑on coursework, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and supervision to students during lab activities.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of lab equipment and workstations.
• Monitor student progress and answer technical questions related to cosmetology procedures.
• Maintain compliance with safety and hygiene standards in the lab.
• Document student attendance and performance as required by the department.

Required profile

• Completed cosmetology coursework through COSM 1070 with a grade of B or higher.
• Preferred: Cosmetology Diploma or Licensed Master Cosmetologist.
• Ability to work the designated evening shift on a semester‑by‑semester basis.
