Corporate Counsel

About the role

Hydro‑Gear is seeking a Corporate Counsel to act as a trusted legal advisor for its leadership team. This position offers high visibility across the organization, allowing you to influence strategic decisions, manage risk, and support growth within a global manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including customer, supplier, service, consultant, lease, IT, confidentiality, and licensing contracts.
• Provide legal guidance and risk assessments to business leaders in the United States, Europe, and China.
• Support product‑liability matters, quality issues, and potential recall activities.
• Manage insurance claims, record‑retention programs, and corporate legal processes.
• Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation, discovery, and compliance matters.
• Assist with intellectual‑property matters such as joint‑development agreements.
