Corporate Controller – SaaS Startup

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Corporate Controller to become our first dedicated accounting hire. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will own the global accounting function, drive the monthly close, financial reporting, tax strategy and compliance while building automated, tech‑forward processes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the end‑to‑end monthly financial close with speed and accuracy.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting across multiple legal entities, including intercompany transactions and consolidations.
• Prepare internal financial statements, management reporting packages, and board materials.
• Design, implement and optimize modern ERP and financial infrastructure to eliminate manual workflows.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on SaaS accounting standards such as ASC 606 and ASC 718.
• Oversee corporate tax filings, state and international registrations, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Lead the annual audit process from start to finish.
• Partner with GTM, Legal, HR and Operations on contracts, equity and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong hands‑on approach.
• Experience in multi‑entity SaaS accounting and financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 718 stock‑based compensation.
• Proven ability to build scalable, automated accounting processes.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
