Leveraged Finance Analyst – Investment Banking

About the role

Join JPMorgan's Leveraged Finance team as an Analyst and work alongside senior bankers on high‑yield loan and bond transactions for non‑investment‑grade companies. You will help design optimal capital structures and coordinate deal execution across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models and conduct financial statement analysis.
• Assess cash‑flow and asset‑based debt capacity for a variety of business models.
• Prepare customized term sheets, capital‑markets and credit approval packages, and marketing materials.
• Create presentation materials and support client/investor meetings.
• Perform extensive due diligence, industry and product research, and comparable analysis.
• Coordinate communication among coverage, credit, legal, and client teams.
• Review and ensure quality of work prepared by junior analysts.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, credit risk, Big Four, or a related field.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a talent for synthesising large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well‑organized, able to manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working under pressure, multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
• Confident presenting to senior management, investors and senior firm members.
