About the role

Legends, a hospitality agency serving professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention clients, is hiring a Cook for Toyota Stadium in Frisco. The Cook prepares, executes and delivers safely handled food to customer-facing employees for service, in a fast-paced professional kitchen in close quarters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, execute and deliver food safely, following correct recipes and prep lists given by the direct supervisor.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor, and report to the assigned area on time.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including checkout with the manager or supervisor.
• Keep walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage and work areas clean and sanitary.
• Know the layout of the kitchen and back-of-house area, including first aid, bathrooms and stairs, and direct staff and guests.
• Work as a team with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs and other service departments, and adapt to a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Follow all safety policies, complete company-wide and job-specific safety training, and practice safe work habits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree or certificate in culinary arts is preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, caterer or other food service area.
• Ability to work under pressure, stay punctual and dependable, and handle long walks and standing for long periods.
• Physical ability to lift at least 30 pounds, push carts, walk fast and bend down.
• Basic English speaking and reading skills.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of the menus being offered, including specials.
• Sanitation procedures and safety regulations.
• Reading and retaining recipes, prep lists, menus and signage, and performing simple math calculations.
