Cashier - Sports Venue

About the role

The Cashier provides fast, friendly and accurate service to guests in a high-volume sports and entertainment environment. The role handles transactions, processes orders and keeps the guest experience positive during games, concerts and events. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally, take food and beverage orders accurately and resolve basic guest concerns
• Maintain a positive, high-energy attitude during busy events
• Operate POS systems, accept credit and cashless payments and follow payment processing procedures
• Input orders accurately, communicate with the kitchen or service staff and keep service fast during peak times such as halftime and intermissions
• Make sure every item is rung up and delivered correctly
• Keep the workstation clean and organized, follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and comply with company policies, including alcohol service rules if applicable
• Work with cooks, runners and supervisors, help with restocking and setup/breakdown, and support stand operations during high-volume events

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier, retail or food service experience preferred
• Experience in sports venues, stadiums or high-volume hospitality is a plus
• Schedule includes evenings, weekends, holidays and event days, and availability for games, concerts and large events
• Able to stand for long periods, work in a loud, fast-paced environment and lift up to 25-30 pounds
