Controls/Automation Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

About the role

Moog is seeking a Controls/Automation Engineer to join its Military Aircraft Group in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting cost‑effective automated manufacturing cells and systems that improve throughput and reduce variation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and recommend automation solutions that deliver cost savings or increased throughput.
• Design and implement robotics, industrial controls, machine vision, material handling, and automation networking for manufacturing processes.
• Assist with specification, purchase, and integration of automation capital equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external integrators to execute projects.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and upgrades for existing automation systems.
• Travel as needed for research, development, and installation of automation solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to work in a cross‑functional matrix organization.
